3D Modeling

Through my minor in Integrated Digital Media, I learned 3D modeling, texturing, and scene creation with Maya and ZBrush.

Pooh's Corner

Tasked with designing a scene from scratch, I used reference images from old Winnie the Pooh books and a fan-generated floor plan and modeled Pooh's house entirely from scratch.

Steampunk Owl

This project's focus was more on texture and dimension, so I chose to model a mechanical owl, based on the real-life version created by Kimberly Hart.

Fern, the Fun-gi

Shifting to ZBrush, we were instructed to create a character with organic features (aka not rigid and linear), so I chose to take a literal approach and make this fun-gi, inspired by the nature I grew up with (and my love for Toad).

Spotify Canvas

Do you ever start scrolling and think, "I wonder if I could make that"? I do. One of those instances was these fun little clips that play in the background during your favorite Spotify tracks.

Kevin McGuire

Using clips from their respective music videos - with permission of course - I cut together these short clips that convey the tone of each song to play behind the tracks.

Printmaking

Another exploration that started in a classroom and extended into my everyday life, I love to use found materials in my work.

Made [on] NY

Inspired by the Berlin-based artist collective Raubdruckerin (pirate printer), I spent a lot of time with my head down, looking for unique textures on the sidewalks of NYC. Every element of this piece is either made from found materials or created from graphite rubbings/direct inking of street hardware.

Back to School

These prints were made using materials one might find in a typical elementary school classroom, such as Legos and pink erasers, and other materials from the dollar store.

Katahdin

Using a topographic map of Mt. Katahdin, geographic data, and the tribal name of the land it sits on, I put together this piece as a gift to my father, a Maine native. I then chose the animal tracks of native species (moose, bears, and turkeys) to walk across the piece. I was able to make a second version of this print and handmade two notebooks from it.
